






























The MARVINGERS is a band from Sweden that plays guitar music in the spirit of The Shadows. The repertoire contains most of The Shadows hits from the 60's and further on.The Marvingers was formed in March 1999 by the lead guitarist Lars-Göran Vinger, with some help from the local radiostation "Radio Örebro". The Marvingers ambition is to sound as close as possible to the originals but with a style of their own.
The band wishes to spread this kind of music and to let the youth to know about it. It's also a tribute to Hank Marvin and The Shadows for their great music over the years. Since the start in 1999 the band is well known for their way to play The Shadows music. For more information please visit the old website. With the new members we hope to be even better than before. The new members are true fans of The Shadows music and know their history very well. The name of the band is a mix of the two names MARVIN and VINGER.






























Lars-Göran Vinger plays leadguitar influenced by Hank Marvin, and tries to play in the same way as Hank does. Lars-Göran uses a Fiesta red Hank Marvin Squier Stratocaster, a Fiesta red Fender Classic 50 Stratocaster or a Burns Marvin and uses the same echo-system as Hank does, "Echoes From The Past". He plays through an Sovtek Mig 50 amplifier and Vox 4 x 12" speakers from 1965 or Fane Legend 2 x 12" speakers. Also using Morley Pro Series Volume pedal and "Cutting Edge" filter built by Charlie Hall from "Echoes From The Past". The strings used are Elixir 011-049. Lars-Göran has played together on stage with Brian Locking. Lars-Göran was born in Munkfors in Värmland but lives nowadays in Örebro.


































Tomas Persson plays the rhythm guitar, well known from The Goldfingers. He is in his playing influenced by Bruce Welch in The Shadows and Django Reinhardt. Tomas uses a Fiesta red Hank Marvin Stratocaster or Landola ACE 8550, Cort SJ 7X, Fender Custom shop 1951 Nocaster and Gretsch G6120SSU. Tomas is playing through an Vox Valvetronics 2 x 60 W and an Acoustic Chorus AC 60. He met Bruce once and they did some jamming together. Tomas lives in Skoghall near Karlstad.

































Ola Humlefors (changed name from Olsson)plays the bass guitar and started to play in 1962. He has played together with some of the best musicians in the swedish rock instrumental music. Ola performed on stage together with Bruce Welch in Oslo 1998. Ola uses a Fender Jazz Bass or a Fender Precision Bass and playing through a Marshall head with MAX speaker cabinet from the 60´s, or a Yorksville BC 115 X amplifier. The Precision bass is stringed with flatwound strings as in the good old days. Ola lives in Uddevalla near Gothenburg.
